My BIL is really weird about smells, will often talk about his keen sense of smell. He had kept complaining about his own feet smelling that I went ahead and got him this spray. He has used it several times and seems to like it enough, so 5 stars just on him not gagging after spraying it lol
I've always struggled with keeping my shoes nice and clean and smelling fresh, as my feet tend to sweat a lot inside enclosed shoes. I spray this onto my feet and into my shoes before I wear them, and I have no issues whatsoever. This has been a truly life-changing product. I will say, please be careful when using this around pets, as some of the ingredients can be harmful to animals and my cats were attracted to the smell, so I had to make sure to keep them away from the product.
I wear steal toe work boots 6 days a week 8-12 hours a day. My shoes and feet would smell after every shift and my locker would smell too! I started to spray my boots with two pumps each and it works!! I return to work the next day with no odor from my locker and boots! This kills the bacteria that causes bad odor!!! I bought it in May and have a little left. Just made another order since then! Bought the pack of two for my fiances Gi! Hopefully it workouts for him!!!
I have started applying this spray to my shoes and feet after long trail runs and it works just right. Not over an powering smell and it prevents my car from smelling like sticky feet if I leave my shoes in there. Sounds like people who do not have the best reviews have unrealistic expectations of the product ingredients.
I loved this product it helped so much my boyfriends shoes and super occasionally, gets ride of the stank of work shoes omg and it did a number on my work shirt too even after wash it spelt of work but I sprayed it and let dry for a day the smell mad it smell majority of the smell gone. Ps were both r in food service industry and on our feet alot.
My home is on its second bottle of Rocket Pure Foot & Shoe Deodorizer because this stuff works!

Really effective. I only have to use it every few days on my feet and shoes. When spraying in your shoes, give them time to dry.
I get hot feet during work if I have my shoes on for a while. At the end of the day, my feet may get a bit smelly. this spray stops it 99%. :)I'm happy.

This actually works for your stinky gym shoes. Has a very powerful peppermint smell. Only takes a couple of sprays in each shoe to do the trick.
I sauna and shower and my gym every morning and wanted some level of protection against athletes foot and to keep my gym shoes from stinking up. I am sensitive to artificial smells so the normal cans of athletes foot type sprays are a no go for me. This smells nice and clean and seems to be working well to keep my foot skin healthy!

Must let it dry before using the shoes but it eliminates the odor.
So i Am into trail running,hiking and strength training.. I use Vibram Five fingers for this (minimalistic shoes).. that really helps keeps the ankles strong since there is no cushioning from the shoe.. but anyways, i use Vibrams without the socks and my feet and the shoe stinks big time (soak shoes in hot water weekly once, throw in some disinfectant and that helped.. but the shoes smelled of the disinfectant now.. which is better then that stink)..

Don't get me wrong.. they have this nice pleasent minty smell to it (not too strong) and a couple of sprays and my shoes were smelling fine (they were not stinking bad in the 1st place either)..
Concern is that i dont believe it is taking the odor out by killing the bacteria, rather it is masking the smell.. it feels alright though and does a decent job i guess.. but i would have preferred something that left the shoes with a neutral smell..
anyhow, the minty smell tends to subside to quite an extent in a day or 2 (post spraying) and so does the stink which is what matters..
One needs to spray the shoe every 5 days (in case of everyday usage) atleast 4-5 sprays to keep them stink free.
the bottle would last about 4-5 months i am guessing..
Would i recommend it??.. I think i will (if one is ok with the minty breadth on the shoes.. :D).. 3.5 stars if you ask me..
Update (13th Jan'15) —
I guess i spoke too soon. after a week of spraying the shoes are almost completely odor free with a very faint minty smell but mostly smelling like how odor free shoes should (and i have been runnning in them every single day). 1 star upgrade to the product hence. Absolutely recommended.

Has Mint, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree and Thyme. I have New Balance shoes and I sometimes walk through wet grass and my shoes and socks get wet. The stinks stays on my shoes until I can use this product.
For years I've tried to get my shoes to stink less. Scent balls, fabric spray, dryer sheets, lysol, homemade concoctions, and 10+ types of shoe sprays/powders. This is finally the winner. I've been using it for a month or two and this stuff is awesome, I can't smell any shoe stink anymore. Best way I can get the idea across: my crusty old shoes that were part of a 5+ hour event out in the rain and walking around, then didn't even smell right after going through the wash. Now they're back to almost everyday use. Even got the armpit stink out of a university-supplied, very-much-not-cleaned tux jacket for an event I was in, so bonus I guess.
The smell is not over peering yet it removes the small from my feet.
